Course Duration: 2 days in-person
Programme Overview
The 2-Day ECHO Course is a focused, intensive program affiliated with Global Health Alliance UK. It is designed for cardiology nurses, sonographers, technicians, and other allied health professionals who want to enhance their echocardiography skills. The course offers focused, practice-oriented training in fundamental and advanced echocardiography techniques, including the importance of physics and instrumentation, 2D image acquisition, and a variety of Doppler imaging techniques such as Continuous Wave (CW), Pulsed Wave (PW), and Colour Doppler. Participants will also learn about the "Minimum Dataset" for a Standard Transthoracic Echocardiogram and key image optimization skills.
The learning methodology combines morning sessions of theoretical knowledge with extensive afternoon supervised hands-on scanning sessions to help participants build immediately applicable skills. This course is ideal for clinicians and technicians seeking a concise, high-impact qualification that will enhance their diagnostic competence and directly translate to improved patient care.
Programme Objectives
To equip participants with practical skills in echocardiography through live demonstrations, interactive case discussions, and real-time scanning, enabling confident image acquisition, accurate interpretation, and effective clinical application in patient care.
Eligibility Criteria
MBBS from a recognised institution and/or Physicians, Cardiologists, ICU, and Critical Care team members.
