Course Objective
This course will help the students understand and develop the following skills:
- Understand the public health system and public health challenges
- Understand basic epidemiology, measurements in epidemiology and the different types of epidemiology
- Learn how to conduct public health research, understand research design, the research steps, and tools and measurements in research.
- Develop, implement and evaluate specific public health policies
- Learn basic biostatistics and start to develop analytical and assessment skills for assembling and interpreting data
- Develop and determine skills in managing health systems at different levels.
- Work in socially, culturally and economically varied populations by being observant of the needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged groups and being well versed with existing health systems
Who can Enroll
Bachelor's Degree/Graduation in any stream from a recognised institute or university.
What will the course particiapnts get?
Students will be eligible to start a career in Public Health. They will also be eligible to apply for the Master of Public Health Program or other Master’s Program.
