Course objective
Fellowship In Family Medicine is a structured academic program designed to strengthen the capabilities of primary care physicians in today’s evolving healthcare environment.
Family medicine is the cornerstone of effective healthcare delivery. Physicians are often the first point of contact for patients and their families, and play a crucial role in providing continuous, comprehensive, and patient-centered care across all age groups. This fellowship has been developed with the objective of enhancing these essential competencies.
The program aims to equip practicing doctors with the knowledge and clinical confidence to manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions commonly encountered in everyday practice. It places a strong emphasis on evidence-based medicine, rational clinical decision-making, and a practical approach to patient care.
In addition to disease management, the fellowship focuses on preventive healthcare, lifestyle modification, early identification and timely referral of high-risk conditions.
An equally important aspect of this program is the development of effective communication skills, ethical medical practice, and a patient-centered approach to care.

At the end of this fellowship, participants will be able to perform:
Comprehensive Clinical Care
- Manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions
- Apply evidence-based guidelines in everyday practice
Clinical Decision-Making
- Develop a structured approach to diagnosis and management
- Identify red flag signs and Identify common medical emergencies in primary care to Initiate early stabilization
- Make timely and appropriate referral decisions
Preventive & Lifestyle Medicine
- Implement screening and preventive strategies
- Provide counselling on diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes
Continuity & Holistic Care
- Deliver care across all age groups – pediatric to geriatric
- Understand national health priorities and vaccination programs
Communication & Ethics
- Enhance communication skills to build doctor–patient relationship
- Practice ethical and medico-legally sound medicine
Upon completion of the program candidates will develop into a confident, competent, and compassionate family physician capable of delivering high-quality primary care in diverse clinical settings.

Evaluations and Grading
Evaluations will be based on Assessment post course completion.
Who can enrol
MBBS and above with valid NMC or State Medical council registration.
Certification
Successful candidates will be awarded a certificate by Max Institute of Medical Education.
