Course Objective

India has no structured training course available to educate and train nutritionists and registered dieticians as diabetes educators.Diabetes education is a dynamic and changing field and diabetes educators need to respond to changes in practice. Their role is crucial in managing a diseasewhere the primary care provider is the patient. More needs to be done, to meet growing demand.

Learning Outcomes of the Course

The course will help the candidate gain in depth knowledge, skills and competencies to effectively educate people with diabetes or prediabetes and their care givers to manage their diabetes well and prevent complications. It will help them empower people with diabetes and teach them about diet, physical activity,medications,insulin,complications, monitoring and other survival skills needed to control diabetes on a daily basis.
